and Objectives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our project is dedicated to analysing the complex security and defence dynamics on the African continent and their implications for Brazil.<\/p>\n<p><b>General Objective<\/b><\/p>\n<p>To understand the primary security and defence dynamics, partnerships, and policies on the African continent, evaluating their impacts on the Brazilian Strategic Surroundings and identifying alternatives for Brazil's strategic engagement.<\/p>\n<p><b>Specific Objectives<\/b><\/p>\n<p>To achieve our general objective, we focus on the following goals:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Analyse Geopolitics:<\/b> To understand the structural changes in international geopolitics and evaluate new axes of strategic partnerships between African countries and extra-regional powers (both traditional and emerging) in security and defence.<\/li>\n<li><b>Systematise Regional Dynamics:<\/b> To study and systematise the configuration of regional security dynamics in contemporary Africa, addressing the domestic, regional, inter-regional, and global levels.<\/li>\n<li><b>Map Defence Policies:<\/b> To map and evaluate the contemporary security and defence policies of African regional powers, with particular attention to the countries of Atlantic Africa.<\/li>\n<li><b>Prospect Scenarios for Brazil:<\/b> To prospect and analyse relevant scenarios for Brazilian engagement within its Strategic Surroundings, focusing on security and defence diplomacy, technical cooperation, and peacekeeping
