The Federal University of Roraima (UFRR) is a strategic higher education institution for research and academic development in the northern region of Brazil. With a strong commitment to interdisciplinary scientific production, UFRR stands out for its work in studies on borders, geopolitics, security, and regional development, promoting research that connects the Amazon to global dynamics, including the African continent.

The Postgraduate Programme in Geography (PPG-GEO/UFRR) adds an essential interdisciplinary dimension to the project, expanding the reach of the African Security and Defence research network to the most extreme points of the national territory. This participation highlights the capillarity and broad scale of the academic cooperation, strengthening connections between different regions of Brazil and the African continent.

The engagement of PPG-GEO/UFRR will be pivotal to the development of the project, bringing specialised contributions in regional geopolitics, cooperation, and conflict, alongside the analysis of territorial dynamics. The programme also distinguishes itself through the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and specialised spatial analysis software, enabling an advanced methodological approach to the manipulation and interpretation of strategic data.
