Media Policy

With the aim of enhancing the visibility of the academic production and activities of all researchers within the African Studies Network on Security and Defence (AFRICANET), we are implementing a new workflow for updating our website. This ensures that our site accurately reflects everything produced across the network’s diverse institutions. To achieve this, we have centralised the collection of information into a single channel via an information-gathering form.

Scope of Media Coverage

The content eligible for publication includes:

  • Bibliographic Output: Scientific articles, books, chapters, and reviews;
  • Academic Events: Seminars, lectures, conferences, and research group meetings;
  • Opportunities and Calls: Scholarship and fellowship calls, calls for papers, and research project vacancies;
  • Institutional Activity: Thesis and dissertation defences, awards, and researchers' media appearances;
  • Relevant News: For the newsletter.

Submission Procedure

To ensure data integrity and standardisation, all submissions must be made exclusively via the online form. We emphasise that the collaboration of scholarship holders from each institution will be of paramount importance for mapping and maintaining the regularity of local submissions. The information received will undergo review before being published on our website.
